My Dream Nursing Wear..

MSK-Chantek2

I' M GAME!!

Tell me if I am choosy but all nursing wears I saw is not to my taste (too choosy perhaps?). If I come across of one, it would be only from overseas and frankly speaking, I am not really secure in buying online for overseas product. I have been thinking to made it myself, even googling around for some tips on clothes design..but due to my lack of seamstress skill, I gave up!

..and I don't know why but the contest have been niggling behind my brain for the past 2 weeks. As I saw this contest, i think that I might have the once in a lifetime chance my own design will be materialised! So I decided to give it a shot even I am a bit late participating compared to others..
My dream nursing wear should fit these criteria:

1. My nursing wear should be 2 in 1 basis (breasfeeding maternity wear), so that I still can breastfeed my little Yana even with a baby on the way! So far it so hard to find these kind of top with two function WITH lovely design!Furthermore, I have a big frame. Most of the tops are designed for petite asians, pity me!It is also my dream also the size should be various from XXS to XXL, so that everybody can enjoy my inspiring product!

Some more, you can wear it even after the baby arrived!Didn't you think it is worth buying this kind of clothing?(heheh..cheapskate me!)

2. The shirt/blouse/top musn't be too long, as in the environment where I work is not so suitable for long dresses. It should suits perfectly with jeans or slack. Not too short either, so that my bum-bum will not be exposed to public...:P (I have the notion that my bum-bum will tend to expand during pregnancy..hehehehe!)

3. The sleeves must be long but elegant, to suits my tudung image. I have puff sleeves designs in my mind right now!I never find a puff sleeve maternity wear before anywhere in the store or the nettie(ke ada?please enlighten me!)

4. The 'window' or 'opening' must be hassle free, the 'selak-jer' method!Of course when your little one wailed for his/her feed, the least you wouldn't want is to fumble around with buttons in haste(and attracting other curious eyes in the process!)

5. The fabric should be suitable for tropical weather & airy enough.

Well, actually I am inspired by my own blouse with puff-sleeve design(which I bought in Shah Alam). Here it is:

(psst..please ignore the picture quality, tq!)

so after altering it a bit the design should be like this:

(So sorry for the drawing, it is total disaster!..but I do hope you ladies out there have the idea of what it would look like..)

The front top can be lift up for nursing purposes. The sleeve will be puff-sleeve on the end, with the added ribbon at sides for more feminity!

I also love this simple nursing top from Duematernity.com..just lovely!

How could you resist a smocking design on the bust with flowy fabric?I'm drooling now..ok?

So only one design for my side. If you sincerely think my design is worth it, come & vote for me on the top of my blog...:). TQ!
